How do I apply for a credit card?

You can view credit cards by selecting a category from the menu on the left. Once you have found the credit card you would like to be approved for click apply now. This will take you to a secure SSL encrypted application. To complete the application you will be asked for basic information such as your social security number, drivers license number, address and date of birth.

Is applying for a credit card online safe?

Yes, applying for a credit card online is safer and faster than applying through the mail. All credit card applications are equipped with SSL ( Secured Socket Layers) technology. This encrypts all information from everyone except you and the credit card issuer. There is a better chance of someone finding out your information in the mail, than if you apply online. The credit card issuer will be able to review and respond to your application faster than applying for one in the mail. You will know it is secure when you see the lock on the bottom right corner or on the right side of your URL box. You can also check the web address, it would be displayed as

What is the time frame for a response, once I have applied?

Unless you have applied for a card that gives a instant response. You would normally receive a response within 1 to 2 weeks via online and/or mail. The response time can be longer depending on the information provided on the application.
